Make A Few Points, Laugh and Walk-Away!

December 9, 2016

Make A few Points, Laugh and Walk-Away!

I am a kind-hearted and loving staunch conservative.

But, I am occasionally slandered or simply criticized and provoked by radical-liberal progressives.  These are fancy terms for socialists and other manner of fascists; or an occasional anarchist who may, or many not, know they are anarchists.

In my person to person interactions with others, I try to avoid verbal combat over politics and religion. If things begin to get heated, I will normally attempt to moderate the situation.

When I was young, I was eager to more aggressively engage the “loyal opposition” to my religious, political, economic and social beliefs. Over the years, however, I slowly learned that all such fractious engagements did was to frustrate me and raise my blood pressure.

I also observed that such battles never appeared to change any committed ideologue’s points of view. I decided that B. F. Skinner was correct about his position on such matters. He thought that one seldom changed another persons deeply held philosophical positions by convincing them they were wrong. He concluded that many such staunch beliefs only go away with the death of the believer and then can be replaced with the philosophies and world views of the developing young. I agree.

This is why leftist revolutionaries, the world around and through history, have simply liquidated opposing adults and taken control of “educating” their culture’s children in leftist ways to think and behave.

The left in America has not systematically killed its political adversary’s, but it has taken over the education of our children with astonishing secularizing and  radical-liberalizing effects upon so many of them. This is easily observed if one cares to pay attention to such things.

I am reminded of one of the few remaining living survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack.  He sadly reported that he has found many of today’s high school graduates are ignorant of this major event in America and the world.

Anyway, I will not relent in this perennial battle against socialist-progressive forces bent on “transforming America”.

Therefore, I will express my views straightforwardly in various written media (my blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). I know this may not “change many minds”.

I do this more for personal catharsis, I just feel better after I do so. I also wish to leave a record that reflects my adult life-long study of the history of cultural decline. This effort has taught me about many of the factors that work-against  such decline and those factors that appear to accelerate decline.

The decline that I am most concerned about, of course, is that which we have been witnessing in America since the 196o’s.

Again, I doubt that I will change any deeply held beliefs about such things, unless the reader is in a zone of uncertainty and is honestly searching for information in order to do a pro and con analysis of their belief options.

I enjoy engaging in an occasional brief skirmishe with someone in the popular media, but if it becomes extensive, I will invite them here to my blog space.  This way we can get “down to thoughtful business” and more easily have an extended discussion. If such exchanges become uncivil, I will simply quit the dialogue.

Recently, I have been enjoined by a few others, mostly by those on the left, to stop my strong defense of the advantages of traditional conservative American values, rational immigration policies, the political design of our Republic and the great advantages of our capitalistic economic system.

I find it amusing that after eight years of lying, cheating and propagandizing the  radical liberal socialist-progressives have lost a great many local, state, and national elections (including the Presidency)……and now the left chides conservatives to get along with them and be nice to them. This, while they continue their unremitting attacks on Trump and his supporters!

I do try to be nice to everyone in all matters, but my reading of American history and politics suggests that with, rare exception, our political struggles are nothing but continuations of very tough combat between the left and the right; with the left making steady headway. Combat the way it must be in struggles of life and death; but the radical left must be defeated.

The left is continuing to sharpen their political and propagandistic swords and  to use underhanded combative strategies to defeat those striving to undo the undeniable damage they have done to America.

The battle for America’s culture is heating-up as I write. These political dynamics are a natural state of human life.

There are certain core precepts and values that America should never compromise on in hast, without very careful analysis. These are largely the conservative ideals that are correlated with our times of greatness. Of course, correlation is not necessarily causation! But, in correcting our cultural problems  correlated with well known radical changes, a return to more conservative designs are promising reversals to consider very seriously.

In this blog, I have done what I normally do when encountering a hostile left-wing attacks on conservatism.

I make a few points, laugh and happily “walk away”!
