The Star Spangled Banner: What Many Americans Don’t Know.

When you hear it, if you have never been in America’s military; stand tall place your right hand over your chest and sing along.

If you are, or have been in America’s military; stand tall, snap and hold your salute and sing along with your hard-earned special pride.

Perhaps you will refresh your memory with the following video. It would be no surprise if our schools failed teach this to you. Sadly, what follows will almost certainly be new information to the younger generation.

In any event, I hope you will listen, view and appreciate the history or our National Anthem…and then please do pass it to everyone on your Email list.

I wish you and all of America a meaningful 4th of July, 2015.

However, we are warned of possible Islamic terrorist attacks over this special American holiday. I hope you will not be intimidated. Stay alert, stay safe and report all suspicious activities to your local police.

God Bless America!

V. Thomas Mawhinney, 7/2/15 through 7/4/15

P.S. Thanks to patriot and Chief Petty Officer, Navy veteran Lee Hornack, for sending this to me.
