“State Capitalism” and “Junk GDP”

“State Capitalism” and “Junk GDP”

The following quote is taken from Trickle Up Poverty: Obama’s Attack on Our Borders, Economy, and Security, by Michael Savage.

I quote:

Among the many problems with what historian Amity Shales has called “state capitalism” is that it tends to produce, again in Shales’ words, “junk GDP.” With government dictating what technologies must be pursued¬†and developed, and providing billions of dollars in incentives for their pursuit, we lose the trail-and-error resilience of a free market, the small projects, privately funded, that actually develop the technologies that work and that make our lives better and more efficient.

End of quote.

Savage on Islamic Terrorism

Savage on Islamic Terrorism

I am rereading The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Borders, Language, and Culture. This book was written by Michael Savage in 2002 and it is full of bombastic assertions and jarring observations. Sometimes, his style is “over the top” for me. However, many of his rages against the machine of our undoing are perfectly spot one.

Least that is the way I see it. Take his following quote, for example:

Be “sensitive” When Countering Terrorism

The good news—if you can call it that —is that it takes a least a truckload of chemicals to damage a city’s water supply. If you see suspicious people in a truck peering at a reservoir, and if yo live in the San Francisco Bay Area, call Barbara Boxer. I’m sure she’ll help you.

But, of course, lets’s say your see three swarthy men of Middle Eastern decent somewhere out in the Heartland. You watch with interest as they’re unloading something into a reservoir. Make certain you’re not motivated by racial profiling before you call the FBI.

You might get arrested for a hate crime.

The important thing is to make sure you don’t commit any crimes or hurt anyone’s feeling as you attempt to prevent a terrorist action. You see, preserving the self-worth of all people, even terrorists, is far more important than our national security.

It doesn’t matter if we all die.

Here’s the most important thing to remember: It doesn’t matter if you lose your life as long as you don’t lose your political sensitivity and political correctness. You see, it’s paramount that you maintain your integrity as a diversity-loving sheeple. Just think how hard Clinton worked to create this enviroment of multiculturalism.

You don’t want Clinton’s legacy to go up in smoke, do you?

End of quote:

I often have said “Reality Will Set You Free”.

Someone improved this trite bit of wisdom. They warned: Reality will set you free, but it will first make you miserable!
