“Shaping” New Socialists in America

April 5, 2019

“Shaping” New Socialists in America.

In psychology we call all that follows, the “Differential Reinforcement of Successive Approximations”, or “Shaping”, for short. You need to know about this because it is the method that socialist/communist revolutionaries are using to transform America.

Shaping is a technical term that refers to a procedure in which a desired end-state behavior pattern that is not present in someone, or in this case, a population of someone’s….slowly becomes prominent.

At the beginning of the procedure, any action that even remotely resembles the desired end-state behavior pattern is rewarded. As part of this approach, behavior that is incompatible, or competing with with the desired end-state behavior pattern. is not rewarded. The lack of rewards for non-desired behaviors reduces the frequency of occurrence of those behavior patterns, while the rewarded behavior patterns increase in frequency.

It is often useful to combine measures of frequency with units of time. It is appropriate to call an increase of frequency of some behavior pattern in a fixed unit of time, an increased rate of that behavior pattern.

While shaping a behavior pattern, punishment can be added for incompatible or competing behavior in the form of social censure, legal persecution, material/financial loss, imprisonment, the administration of pain (torture), or threats of all of the previous and other forms of aversive treatment. The addition of punishment for unwanted behavior patterns can speed-up the shaping progress. But, if the punishments are too intense, or too often used, they can cause individuals and populations to rebel and counter-aggress against the shapers. Much as America did during its revolution against Great Britain.

Skilled shapers provide rewards to individuals or populations following the desired behavior patterns, at each of a series of successive steps, until the desired end-state behavior patterns happen at acceptable rates of occurrence.

The shaping procedure is like atomic energy: It is neither moral or immoral, it is amoral. Its morality is determined by the uses to which it is applied as well as its produced outcomes.

It is best that this “shaping of behavior” process move in small steps and at a reasonably slow pace, over a some workable period of time. If punishment is used along the the teaching way is is best used very sparingly and ideally, not at all.

It is important to note that if this process moves along successfully; individual’s or populations of individual’s thoughts, beliefs and attitudes will normally also changed in support of the the learned end-state behavior patterns.

Many other psychological laws and principles will be concurrently embedded within the procedure of shaping. However, they are too numerous and complex to describe here and unnecessary to understand the main message of this blog.

But, please understand the following:

  • Many socialist/ communist revolutionary’s have learned how to skillfully employ this shaping method.
  • They understand that revolution using primarily punishment, at the point-of-a-gun, and  the harsh control of populations can lead to counter aggression and counter-revolution against the shapers.
  • They know that it is most effective to target children and younger citizens, who’s behavior is more easily shaped in comparison to that of adults.
  • They use many other psychological principles to influence the actions, thoughts, beliefs and attitudes of the young.
  • If done well, the shaping method will likely lead to pacified and dramatically changed population’s preference patterns in favor of its own changing behavior patterns.

It is important to understand this: Socialists/communists and their allies have been shaping the population of America away from its founding behavior patterns, beliefs, and attitudes towards their own for many decades. Tragically, this shaping procedure  is working exactly the way the science of psychology predicts that it will!

Finally, understand that when socialist/communist behavior and preference patterns are shaped in a young population, within a Democratic Republic such as our own, all that is needed for great success, is that “the shapers” have success with only a  determinant percent of the voting population.

Know also, that the youthful population, over-time, will out-reproduce the aging generation. This is also true of youthful immigrant populations. These parenting generations will likely teach their children their own behavior patterns, beliefs and attitudes.

There is much more to the Psychology of America’s Decline, but that is for my future blogs.

Wake-Up America! But it may already be too late.

Legalized Prostitution: Sex Robots Lead the Way

January 1, 2019

Legalized Prostitution: Sex Robots Lead the Way.

Prostitution is illegal in every state in America, except Nevada. You might find it interesting to review the state and federal laws against Prostitution. Please see below.

https://prostitution.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000119

You should know that prostitution, like gambling, pornography and recreational drugs were outlawed for good reasons. They were once called “vices” because they ruin families, businesses and individual’s lives. Separately each of these legalized activities is a great cost to society that should supersede hedonistic quests for more personal pleasures. Taken together, I judge that their synergistic costs to America are, or soon will be, disastrous.

On a strongly related matter: “technological determinism” is a term used by those who wish to illustrate how advancing technology shapes the perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors of populations within civilizations. When perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors change they can spread through populations via well-known biopsychosocial scientific laws and principles.  I call these laws and principles the mechanisms of change. I call the changes they cause within populations, behavioral contagion. The effects of behavioral contagion can be good or bad for populations, cultures, and societies.

Technological determinism is only one important source of the many summating and multiplicative changes in societies that, when viewed at-large, are identified as cultural evolution. Behavioral contagion is an important component of many chains of causes (war, depletion of resources, disease, natural disasters, religion changes, technological developments, politics and more) that drive good and bad cultural evolutions. Therefore, behavioral contagion can also be an important force in the rise and decline of civilizations. Changing and even clashing subcultures can easily be observed in societies.

Unfortunate, the workings of the biopsychosocial mechanisms that drive behavioral contagion for better and for worse, are not easily observed. In fact, from what I can tell almost everyone is oblivious to them. Even most scientists that I know do not think much about their involvement in sociocultural evolution and the survival value of  societies

The video below is a perfect example, among countless others, of technological innovations that can catalyze destructive forms of behavioral contagion in America.

The following  video is only soft-pornography But, I warn you that your own imagination will rapidly convert it to XXX rated hardcore-pornography. If you are offended by this video, and your own naturally occurring imagination, I will invite you to “grow-up” and face reality. You will have to politically defend against this reality, or you and your loved ones will be hurt to varying degrees by it.

Psychology is very much at play in this robotic example of technological determinism, its resulting behavioral contagion, and also resulting cultural evolutions will likely produce . I will explain in brief.

All animals are generally influenced by the same Psychological laws and principles. One of these principles is the Law of Effect. This law states that behaviors that produces rewards for individuals will normally cause them to repeat the same behaviors more often in the future. These behavior patterns, with repeated rewarding consequences, can become deeply ingrained within the in individuals and greatly increase in future frequency. Such high rates of behaviors have, in lay language, been called “psychological addictions”. When the rewards are actually biologically addicting, both psychological and physiological addictions present concurrent problems to individuals, families, businesses, etc., and entire societies. The psychologist B. F. Skinner researched and promulgated these laws and principles he called Operant Conditioning and Learning.

Basic Laws of Association increase the likelihood that stimuli, perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors that occur together with individuals will be psychologically linked together and will be more likely to occur together more often in the future. If the stimuli are closely associated with pleasure, individuals will be more likely to be motivated to work to produce them more often in the future. Conversely, the stimuli, perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and actions are closely associated with pain or discomfort will be more likely to be escaped and avoided. Ivan Pavlov’s discovery of Classical (Respondent) Conditioning helped psychologist to understand how, for better or worse, new learned (conditioned) emotions and reflexes can be learned in humans and other animals.

The Principle of Least Effort often leads to people and other animals seeking the least effortful ways to obtain their rewards and the least effortful ways to escape or avoid pain and discomfort. The implications for sex with robots as opposed to all that one must do to find and retain sexual partners should be clear. The more realistic the sexual robots become the more powerful their attractiveness is likely to become.

It is critically to note that behavioral scientists have demonstrated that humans and other animals are generally highly motivated get their rewards more immediately, more frequently and in larger magnitudes.

Albert Bandura, conducted important research into the psychological field of Social Learning Theory. There are a great many social influences upon perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors the individuals within societies. These influences include all of the previous laws and principles, and more. These influences are spread through language, written words, popular media, and the imitation of other’s behaviors that are perceived in some fashion. All of this presents another level of complexity of influences upon individual’s perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors.  The principles of social learning theory present countless other avenues of behavioral contagion with good or bad effects upon individuals, cultures and societies.

All of this, and much more, is part of human and animal nature.

Historically, in Western Civilization Judeo/Christian religion’s stimuli, perceptions, thoughts, beliefs, emotions, behaviors and sacred values have militated against bad behavioral contagion. Also, Western Civilization’s, more’s, folkways and governmental laws; largely based upon these religious values, punished the spread of bad behaviors within the populations. All of this and the population’s own social controls (encouragement, praise, material rewards; or, criticism, social censure, rejection and physical punishment) also militated against bad behavioral contagion and strengthened good behavioral contagion.

Finally, it is now increasingly clear that genetics is a very important factor in the inheritance of tendencies towards a host of diseases, both physical and psychological; as well as a number of personality features that often produce maladaptive behaviors in individuals.

All of this provides fodder for the behavioral contagion of bad or good outcomes for individuals, culture and society.

Perhaps you are beginning to understand that psychology is one of our most important sciences and technologies for future human social and political survival.

Finally, please note that all levels of America’s governments have been suppressing the power of Judeo/Christian influences. Also, our corrupt governments  have been legalizing the behaviors that were formerly labeled as sinful and illegal. Governments are doing this in order to augment their tragically depleted revenues. Governmental revenues horrifically depleted by unprincipled spending designed to secure a dependent electorate dedicated to furthering politician’s personal wealth and political power.

Sex robots are perfect technological symbols of secular post-modern nations now in steep decline.

Will America be one of these?

For more “Big Picture” thinking, I invite you to study two of my professional publications below. There I detail a few (just a few) of the determinants of human behavior, cultural evolution and potentially the rise and decline of civilizations.

Also, you undoubtedly note that I have not specified what is good or bad behavior, or good and bad behavioral contagion. I invite you to think about your own value judgments about these matters. However, I ask that you put these judgments within the context of the biopsychosocial laws and principles discussed in this blog. If you wish to know my own thoughts on this difficult matter, you will find them in my publications below.

America Is Feminizing It’s Boys

August 22, 2018

America Is Feminizing It’s Boys

If you have noticed that America’s millennial young men are often somewhat, or sometimes strikingly feminized….you are noticing something very real.

If you have noticed that  Millennial females are increasingly masculinized, you are also noticing something very real.

Please see the following article.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/real-men-dont-write-blogs/201803/feminizing-boys-we-masculinize-girls

But, in this blog, I wish to focus upon feminizing boys and the social, cultural and geopolitical consequences.

It is true that America is feminizing it’s boys. The following video makes very clear how our educational system is part of the confluence of evolving “emasculating” cultural influences that are focused upon American boys.

You do not want to miss this factual video presentation by Prager University.

https://www.prageru.com/playlists/most-popular#3

To this powerful influence we must add the often overlooked effects of high rates of divorce in America. Divorce often leads to diminished influences by fathers and mothers being designated as the custodial parent. When mothers and fathers work closely together to raise sons, their sons normally gain a healthy blend of male and female features, generally weighted towards the male end of the spectrum. This is a good and much needed outcome for failed marriages.

When this balance is disrupted, the scale to often tips in the direction of excessive feminine influences on boys.

Divorced (or working married) mothers must often place their children in child-care facilities that are typically populated with female staff. This is a culture-wide factor that furthers the disproportionate influence of female role models upon boys. As illustrated in the video above, this trend then continues when boys enter America’s educational system.

Of course there is the largely progressive/liberal media, much of which is dedicated to eradicating sex roles and gender differences. The media has increasingly featured and popularized feminine males, some of whom appear to be male caricatures of extreme feminism. For these flamboyantly feminized boys and men, the crass inslut of “girly boy” would be taken as a high complement. Both moderately and greatly feminized male role models (for other boys to imitate) can now be observed in movies, T.V. sit-coms, and ads in many venues.

These trends would seem self-defeating for any culture that hopes to long survive in a hostile world of competing and often waring nations. The implications of this fearsome fact should be clear in light of the feminization of American males.

I invite you to do some internet research on the social, cultural and geopolitical perils of America feminizing its boys.

“Sex Slaves” for Sale!

February 10, 2018

“Sex Slaves” for Sale!

Well, well, well. Look what we have here.

Sexual Robots, under the complete control of their owner! They are never not-in-the-mood, they never “have a head-ache” and they are never too tired to “make love”. They never say NO to what used to be called deviant sexual behavior.

You could be a pot-bellied, stinky, unattractive really old man and your “Playboy Poster dream-girl” will always be horny for you. She will never complain when your sexual performance is not what it once was, even if it ever was!

Given all of this slave-like sexual servitude (without pay!), I think I will take the parenthesizes off the words sex slaves.

You should note that inventors are also developing male sex slaves. As you know liberals claim to hate sexism (overwhelming evidence to the contrary).

There can be no doubt that science and technology have a stunningly powerful effect upon cultural evolution.

With the development of the computer, cell phones and various other internet-connected devises, many of our youth, and older people too, have increasingly retreated from reality into cyberspace and its amazing fantasy world. This trend has been developing for around five or six generations.

As a practicing psychologist, for about 40 years, I have increasingly seen shy and introverted young people and adults withdrawing from social contact into the world of cyberspace. Of course, in my practice, I see a skewed sample of people, not a random sample of the general population.

However, there is a growing body of scientific evidence that there is an  association between individual’s increased use of social media and their social isolation. As yet, the causes of this correlation are not known and it will take research to more powerfully assert such attributions.

The following is but one study among many others. However, non-scientific anecdotal evidence is available for all to see.

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2017/03/06/518362255/feeling-lonely-too-much-time-on-social-media-may-be-why

Of course, the world of sexual fantasy is nothing new and it has preceded robot sex slaves by thousands of years, as the Kuma Sutra and other relatively crude historical sexual depictions prove.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_erotic_depictions

Starting in the 1960, America legalized the creation of pornography and its wide distribution in all forms. Increased cinematographic technology supplied a pre-existing, seemingly insatiable appetite, with increasingly explicit sexual  depictions, including those formerly categorized as deviant.

Along with this cultural evolution, a wide variety of relatively crude “sexual toys”, simple inanimate objects, “sex aids”, became widely available for purchase in “adult” book stores and XXX mail order outlets.

Depending upon one’s sexual appetite, perhaps the most laughable  invention was the inflatable sex doll, which was essentially a large  reconfigured inflatable plastic beach ball.

I judge that these cultural evolution’s have not been good for our society.

https://culturalsurvivalskills.me/2010/03/31/pornography-is-bad-for-america/

Fast forward to 2018 and consider the following dose of reality.

If the following offends you, I certainly apologize for what is a reality therapy session. If you think you will be offended by the display of sexual robots, do not open he following videos.

It is said that ignorance can be bliss. This may sometimes be true until, that is, our ignorance begins to damage our live’s, those of our loved ones…and others upon which the emotional health and welfare of our culture depends.

I hope you will give some thought to how the following technological developments will likely influence the course of a population’s social and emotional development.

Of course, the following videos tout the many personal advantages of owning sexual robots. Counter-arguments consider the dehumanizing of sexuality, the possibility of learning to dominate and sexually abuse real human beings and the the deepening isolation from real people it may bring to many.

Perhaps the presence of sexual robots could be an advantage to an overpopulating world. However, it seems likely that the correlation of education and the disposable income necessary to afford to own and maintain a sexual robot favors a reduction of procreation within the most capable segments of any developing population. This would not seem beneficial to any society.

But, if I could accuratley predict the future I would be a very wealthy man…I can not and I am not.

Still, this old psychologist doubts that the proliferation of robotic sex slaves will be an unalloyed evolutionary blessing. There is just too much room in this development for increasing unsocial and antisocial conditioning and learning outcomes within populations.

Assuming increasing popularity, the significant expense of these first generation robotic “sex slaves” ($4,000 to over $50,000) will lower their expense to the point that they will become affordable to large numbers of people in advanced societies.

What follows is XXX rated; well kinda, sorta…maybe not-so-much to many.

You be the judge.

America’s Black Dilemma #2

September 9, 2015

America’s Black Dilemma #2

If you have not read my previous post on America’s Black Dilemma, it is important that you do in order to understand what now follows in my second post on this topic.

https://culturalsurvivalskills.me/2015/09/02/americas-black-dilemma-the-falsely-attributed-truth/

When I first read this article, I immediately recalled the following Biblical quote.  This passage has always stuck with me since my youth. I am no Biblical scholar and there appear to be Biblical statements that are in conflict with the one I remember so clearly.

But, if there ever was a mega-example of the following quote about God’s consequences for bad behavior, it would appear to relate America’s Black Dilemma.

From the Bible: Exodus 34:7English Standard Version (ESV)

7″ keeping steadfast love for thousands,[a] forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

Yet, it is illogical to me that a forgiving and benevolent God would endlessly punish both those who have been sinned against (the American Black population) and also, endlessly, the children of the sinners (the American slave owners), who have worked for generations to atone-for and correct the original sin of enslaving the blacks.

In the article, The Black Dilemma, it is stated in the 9th paragraph that “nothing changes no matter how much money is spent,” etc., etc..

Well, if the science of psychology can teach America anything, it should be that it is not the amount of money spent that will ever change a population’s behavior problems, it is rather how the money is spent.

My following previous blog will explain exactly what I mean by this statement.

It will also set the record straight regarding The Black Dilemma article’s overly negative assessment of America’s lack-of-progress in race relations.

https://culturalsurvivalskills.me/2014/12/20/why-some-blacks-dislike-america-bill-oreilly/

Another matter is in need of clarification:

In paragraph 9, the author states: “Some argue its a problem of culture, as if culture creates people, in stead of the other way around”.

This is clearly a wrong and gross-oversimplification of an amazingly complex process with a simple name: Cultural Evolution.

Culture and its various evolution’s, or changes, is a fiendishly  complex matter. To say that culture creates people is correct, but to say that people create culture is correct.

In fact, culture and the people’s behavior it generates are part of an ever-changing cycle of mutually interacting and determining forces involving the changing environment, the changing behaviors of the people (including their technology, sociopolitical practices and various other traditions), and the effects that all of this has upon the changing behaviors, sociopolitical practices, technologies and various traditions of their future generations. Now, add the effects of various other external forces such as war and people from other cultures immigrating into the culture under study and the complexity of countless bi-directional determinants (causal positive and negative feedback loops) among the receiving culture’s infrastructure, structure and superstructure become  mind-boggling.

The explanation, prediction and control of these phenomena remain one of Behavioral Science’s greatest challenges.

Never-the less, the article America’s Black Dilemma (no matter the author) confronts us all with some truths about America and its lack of full recovery from its historical enslavement of black populations

Sadly, however, the main truth is missed: As discussed in my second blog citation above, if a culture rewards bad  behavior, it will experience increased rates of bad behavior within its population. This is a true non-technical statement derived from Psychology’s Law of Effect.

This statement will remain true, no matter the race or culture of the population under study.

Extremes Of Cultural Destruction: “Progressive” Liberalism vs. Islam

Extremes Of Cultural Destruction: “Progressive” Liberalism vs. Islam

The following is an elaboration of my answer to one of my readers who noted the parallel between “progressive” liberals loving the beauty of Colorado and then moving there to remake it into their own brand of social and political pathology… and agents of Islam doing the same thing around the world.

I had not thought about the similarities of Liberals remaking the cultures they infiltrate and Islamic Stealth Jihad that is incrementally transforming the World to Islam and Sharia Law. It is not so hard to grasp the implications of any military take-over, but the incremental long-term effects of stealth liberalism and Islamic Jihad are harder to perceive and defend against.

There is nothing new about a particular culture admiring the physical habitat of another and then invading it to gain social and political control within that new domain. They may also gain hegemony in the new culture by generating disproportionately higher birth-rates than the original population, inbreeding, and aggressive recruitment.

In these ways the new culture may transform the older culture and eventually impose their own alien values (political system, laws, more’s and folkways) upon the indigenous culture. The new culture transforms the old one into their own, or perhaps some new hybrid of the of the two cultures.

This transformational process has been in play since the beginning of living time. It has occurred at all levels of biological existence, in all ecosystems. For our purposes, I will call this manifestation of Natural Selection, Cultural Evolution.

Though it is a natural phenomenon, this no reason not to defend against such alien transformations…particularly when it will lead to either behavioral chaos (Colorado) or totalitarianism (Islamic Sharia Law).

Although “Progressive”-Liberal and Islamic Sharia political/social designs are at polar ends of the behavioral-outcomes continuum. They are equally destructive (though in different ways) to the quality of the cultural organism they pathologically infect.

Take your pick: “progressive”-liberal social and political chaos and decline. Or, totalitarian social and political rigamortise and decline.

The healthy culture, committed to living long and well, should defend to-the-death against either of these cultural design extremes.

V. Thomas Mawhinney, Ph.D., 3/28/15

P.S., Thanks to Tom Jacobs for commenting on one of my blogs and stimulating my thinking about these cultural evolutionary dynamics.

Ethics and Cultural Evolution

January 5, 2011

Ethics and Cultural Evolution

Ethics can be defined as the philosophy or science of moral values, duties and ideals of human character, motives, actions and outcomes. Moral behaviors or outcomes are those that conform to judgements in these realms about what is good or bad, right or wrong.

It is mind-boggling to contemplate the ethics of  individual actions. A higher-order vortex of complexity is entered when the focus shifts to the ethics of cultural design and evolution.

At either level the concept of good or bad, right or wrong, would at first seem clear to many. But when such matters are put to the test of close analysis, debate and consensus building, we soon encounter a conceptual morass from which there appears to be no escape.

For example, philosopher David Hume wrote:

“In every system of morality, which I have hitherto met with, I have remarked, that the author proceeds for some time in the ordinary way of reasoning, and establishes the being of a God, or makes observations concerning human affairs; when of a sudden I am surprised to find, that instead of usual copulations of propositions, is, and is not, I meet with no proposition that is not connected with an ought, or an ought not…”

Hume argued that it is not possible to derive moral statements of what ought to be from simple observations and descriptions of what is. Many would argue that this principle, which has been called Hume’s Law, separates facts from values in a way that places morality outside of the purview of scientific evaluation. I will shortly argue that moral values and behaviors can, and should be, submitted to scientific analysis.

Stand by for more!

Fiscal Responsibility

Fiscal Responsibility

With regard to running a successfully business, it is standard operating procedure to approach budgetary matters with a considerable degree of conservatism.

At an elementary level, this means overestimating projected expenses and underestimating projected income. The resulting disparity represents a “built-in safety margin” for operational decision making.

There is no reason to expect that this strategy should be any less advantageous when applied to the successful management and evolution of a society.
