Marxist Propaganda: Lies, Deceptions, and Diversions: In Cartoons!

June 30, 2022

Today the Biden Administration insists that our border is closed! This, when confronted that a semi truck trailer, loaded with a load of 51 broiled-to-death adults and children. They were smuggled over the border by Mexican Cartel operatives. They were discovered sprinkled with some sort of spice to cover-up the stench of rotting bodies.

‘The border is closed!…Yelled a U.S. Government representative repeatedly. His opposition in the radio debater loudly retorted “The Biden Administration has blood on its hands!”! The Biden man, with a raised voice then said: “We need to allocate more money for personnel to patrol the border.

Dear reader, why should we need more money to patrol the border. I would like to submit to the Biden Administration the following: “Why? Because America’s border is wide open” you lying sacks of s—….. Ok. Sorry. Just make it: “you lying sacks of fentanyl!

See for yourself!

V. Thomas Mawhinney,

P.s., Open borders have destroyed societies and their cultures since before recorded time. And in recent history, so have Marxist revolutions; just like the Marxist revolution now ongoing in America.

China and America’s Lost War on Drugs

June 24, 2022

While our federal government is conducting its own war on America, via its ongoing Marxist Revolutionary tactics against us, China is in lock step with our American Marxists.

The government reports that most of the Fentanyl that is killing our teens and adults, by the many thousands, is manufactured in China. Then tons of it sent to Mexico and then it is smuggled into America. Smuggled over our wide-open borders, thanks the corrupt democrats and RINO’s.

It is virtually certain that the world’s infestation with this modern version of the historical “Black Plague”, Covid 19 (and its variants), came directly from a laboratory in China.

China’s main goal is to defeat America in Geopolitical competition and to gain military and economic dominance of the world.

So, why would it be so far-fetched to defensively assume (until proven otherwise), that China’s release of Covid 19 and its concurrent flooding of America with this murderous drug, is part of that world domination strategy?

I know a few psychologists and some psychiatrists who show indications of mild mental “un-wellness”.

You can now decide if I am one of those “mentally unwell” few!

That China, Russia and Iran will go to any length they can get-away-with, to weaken and bring destruction to America’s world power is not a theory in my mind. This is a reality, based upon the available evidence of their actions and stated geopolitical objectives.

That’s the way I see it. Now, you can judge for yourself.

America: Storm Clouds on Horizon!

June 21, 2022

According to reliable reports, the unapprehended “Gotaways’ sneaking into America are now enough to populate 3 of our states. Recently 50 men on our government’s “Terror List” were apprehended at our Southern Border. The actual numbers of terrorists, gang members, drug and sex trafficker’s who are Gotaways into America are unknown. But we have good estimates.

https://www.djournal.com/news/national/total-southern-border-encounters-gotaways-greater-than-population-of-23-u-s-states/article_de9cfa77-811e-54b8-adcc-dee334453c3b.html

The radical-leftist and Marxist democrats are purposefully weakening and destroying America. There can be no other explanation for their uniformly, “seemingly inept”, rapid, and dramatically America-destructive policy changes.

Muslim terrorists have been infiltrating America for decades, using its “soft underbelly” (our many, though now declining freedoms) to prepare for our slaughter . The horrors that will explode upon us are building and will come when they come. But they will come upon us as a result of our own negligence, corruption and rank stupidity.

What follows should not be new news. Though, it will be for most Americans.

The terrorists attacks are now just a matter of when, how, and where.

Voter Fraud: More Evidence

June 18, 2022

New Peer-Reviewed Research Finds Evidence of 2020 Voter Fraud

I know some smart people who think that Trump did not loose the Presidential Election due to voter fraud.

I disagree with them on this matter. Trump was slandered and propagandized by Marxist Left politicians even before he descended his Trump Tower Stairway to announce his bid for his first run for the Presidency. And, all of that it only escalated and intensified during his four years in office. The electoral fraud began at the beginning of his bid for the Presidency.

I will vote for Trump if he is the nominee, but I prefer that he not run for President.

I think he would not win due to the number of citizens who do not like his personality. I did, and still would overlook his abrasive personality because he did a great job quickly turning our sad American decline around and courageously attacking the corrupt deep state that is destroying America.

My wife and I strongly favor Governor DeSantis and Scott, Given the powerful, courageous and successful conservative performance as Governor of Florida. We did not choose Senator Tim Scott exclusively because of he is a back citizen. Far from it! That is a radical leftist Lib-Marxist trick. Senator Scott has very strong conservative morals and ethics, he vigorously defends America’s Constitution and he has impeccable personal credentials. He would make a wonderful Vice President and, perhaps with that experience, he would also make an excellent President some day.

But none of this, or any other good thing, will ever happen for America if the electoral corruption is not uncovered and forcefully corrected. As the months have passed, more and more election irregularities have been documented. I expect there will be more to come.

John Lott is a respected research professor and I ask you to please consider his published peer-reviewed research project below.

I will post more evidence of voter fraud in America as sound evidence is reported.

Please consider the following and decide for yourself!

(AP Photo/Matt Slocum)

By a margin of 52% to 40%, voters believe that “cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election.” That’s per a Rasmussen Reports survey from this month. This stands in stark contrast to the countless news stories editorializing about “no evidence of voter fraud” and “the myth of voter fraud.”

It isn’t just Republicans who believe this cheating occurred. Even 34% of Democrats believe it, as do 38% of those who “somewhat” support President Biden. A broad range of Americans think this: men, women, all age groups, whites, those who are neither white nor black, Republicans, those who are neither Republicans nor Democrats, all job categories, all income groups except those making over $200,000 per year, and all education groups except those who attended graduate school.

More from Real Clear

And with good reason. New research of mine is forthcoming in the peer-reviewed economics journal Public Choice, and it finds evidence of around 255,000 excess votes (possibly as many as 368,000) for Joe Biden in six swing states where Donald Trump lodged accusations of fraud. Biden only carried these states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin – by a total of 313,253 votes. Excluding Michigan, the gap was 159,065.

The point of this work isn’t to contest the 2020 election, but to point out that we have a real problem that needs to be dealt with. Americans must have confidence in future elections.

Some Trump allies, such as attorney Sidney Powell, who famously promised to “Release the Kraken” and then provided no evidence, have helped to discredit these concerns.

Courts have rejected challenges to the 2020 presidential vote, generally citing the lack of evidence that any alleged fraud would have altered the outcome in a particular state. The Republican plaintiffs argued that since their observers couldn’t watch the vote counts or were prevented from seeing other evidence, they couldn’t provide such proof without investigations backed by subpoena power. Still, while some judges have agreed that irregularities occurred in 2020, they weren’t willing to grant discovery in the absence of evidence that fraud could reverse the election results. Republicans thus faced a Catch-22 situation.

Recounts haven’t been useful in resolving fraud concerns, as they merely involve recounting the same potentially fraudulent ballots.

Signature verification is far from perfect, as election employees have as little as five seconds to check a signature. Amidst unprecedented numbers of mail-in ballots in the 2020 election, many states didn’t even try to verify signatures. If someone mailed in multiple ballots, there was virtually no way to catch them. And without tamper-resistant photo IDs, fraud is difficult to prove. Unless someone tries voting multiple times in the same precinct, there is no way to catch them.

My research provides three tests of vote fraud.

First, I compared precincts in a county with alleged fraud to adjacent, similar precincts in neighboring counties with no fraud allegations. Precincts tend to be small, homogeneous areas, and many consist of fewer than a thousand registered voters. When comparing President Trump’s absentee ballot vote shares among these adjacent precincts, I accounted for differences in Trump’s in-person vote share and in registered voters’ demographics in both precincts.

While precincts count in-person votes, central county offices are responsible for counting absentee or mail-in ballots. A county with systemic fraud may count absentee or mail-in ballots differently from a neighboring county. We can try to detect this fraud by comparing the results in bordering precincts that happen to fall on opposite sides of a county line. These precincts will tend to be virtually identical to each other – voters may simply be on the other side of the street from their precinct neighbors.

In 2016, there was no unexplained gap in absentee ballot counts. But 2020 was a different story. Just in Fulton County, Georgia, my test yielded an unexplained 17,000 votes – 32% more than Biden’s margin over Trump in the entire state.

With the focus on winning the state, there is no apparent reason why Democrats would get out the absentee ballot vote more in one precinct than in a neighboring precinct with similar political and demographic characteristics.

Next I applied the same method to provisional ballots in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Contrary to state law, voters were allegedly allowed to correct defects in absentee ballots by submitting provisional ballots on Election Day. My analysis found that such permissions in Allegheny County alone contributed to a statistically significant 6,700 additional votes for Biden – in a state decided by fewer than 81,000 votes.

Finally, artificially large voter turnouts can also be a sign of vote fraud. This fraud could come in the form of filling out absentee ballots for people who didn’t vote, voting by ineligible people, or bribing people for their votes.

Republican-leaning swing state counties had higher turnouts relative to the 2016 election. Democratic-leaning counties had lower turnouts, except for the Democratic counties with alleged vote fraud, which had very high turnouts.

My estimates likely understate the true amount of fraud with absentee ballots, as I didn’t attempt to ascertain possible in-person voting fraud. Allegations have arisen of many ineligible in-person voters in Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. In Fulton County, Georgia, 2,423 voters were not listed as registered on the state’s records, and 2,560 felons voted even though they had not completed their sentences.

Vote fraud erodes trust in elections, and makes people less motivated to vote. Compared to Europe and other developed countries, America is unique in its lax approach to vote fraud. When all demographic and political groups in the U.S. support voter photo IDs and even 46% of Democrats believe that mail-in voting leads to cheating, ignoring Americans’ concerns won’t make the problem go away.

John R. Lott Jr. is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center. Until January 2021, he was the senior adviser for research and statistics at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy where he dealt with issues of vote fraud.

America’s School Shooting Horrors: WHY?!

June 1, 2022

This is so heart-breaking.

Why are our children killing each other?!

It is because our American society and culture is increasingly mentally ill, behaviorally maladaptive, dying and heading for its death bed.

We are increasingly mass-murdering each other and our children. Furthermore, America aborted 886,677 babies in 2019-2020. For the most part, Americans have gotten used to all of this. We still get greatly upset over large mass-murders and terrorist attacks, but not-so-much for high murder rates in many of our big cities. Many of us, not directly involved in this unbelievable pain and carnage, soon get-over-it and go on with our culturally destructive ways.

Simply banning so called “assault weapons” in 1994 did not solve our outrageous murder problems and such bans never will. The truth is we have created our own very complex citizen murder problems over that last three-plus generations (60+ years) by dramatically changing our societal and cultural design. We have drastically changed our informal rules and laws, our institutions, and the many traditions we have historically lived by.

The benefits of modernity and technology have also brought a massive number of mental health and social problems; not the least of which is the easy access of countless vivid forms of aggression, brutality, pornography, gambling, and other behaviors incompatible with a safe and well-functioning society. Unsupervised children easily become exposed and compulsively dependent upon damaging thought, belief, emotion, and behavior altering pictures and videos on the internet. Along with the benefits, these technological developments have dramatically increased bad behavioral contagion, I.e., the rate of spread of many forms of psychological and behavioral problems within our youth and adult population.

We have crippled America’s greatly beneficial religious influences using a fake interpretation of Thomas Jefferson’s true conception of “Separation of Church and State”. His point was only that government was never to interfere with religion, or mandate any particular form of religion. The federal government has interfered with our traditional religious freedoms by favoring the Godless religion of secular humanism. America’s moral values have steadily declined over several generations following the hinderance of this great source of moral values and principles, through the exclusion of its rules, precepts and symbols from many areas of our society.

The destruction of the bedrock of America’s stability and mental health has been that of the traditional American Family. We have crippled our marriage institution with “no fault divorces”, making marriage a less solemn and committed, more temporary arrangement–an easy-in and easy-out affair. We have subsidized fatherless, single mother families and done little to support traditional Mother and Father families who have and rear children. Fatherless, single mother families are associated with increased rates of family stress as well as psychological and behavioral problems in their children. America’s birthrate is now below population replacement and our children are increasingly emotionally and behaviorally troubled.

America’s damaged society and culture has been has been created by too many factors to mention in this context. But, there are a few others that seem most relevant to our horrifical painful question:

Why are our children killing each other?!

We have closed our long-term residential hospitals for the severely mentally ill, starting in the 1060’s. This was done trusting that the mental patients would responsibly seek help at new, and in construction, Community Mental Health Clinics.

It should have been obvious to professionals that very large numbers of seriously mentally ill patients would not be capable of such consistent planning and self-care. This tragic Deinstitutionalization Movement was a governmental attempt to save money. It was cloaked in the rhetoric of “personal freedom” and the “humane treatment” of mental patients. But, the outcome was certainly not freedom or humane treatment for a great many mental patients, it was an abusive neglect of care for these patients and our society. Our prisons and streets are now full of mental patients, many who have become drug addicts. Many of our seriously mentally ill are homeless or living in various forms of decrepit housing.

It is easy to overlook the fact that many behavioral problems and mental disorders have an inherited genetic substrate that can manifest during peoples lives, at different times and in many ways. Surprisingly, some prisons provide for conjugal visits (I.e., sex with both heterosexual and gay loved ones). Mentally and emotionally impaired female street people give sex for food, shelter, protection, and/or drugs. This is in addition to the possibilities of poor maternal nutrition, chronic stress, poor healthcare and drug use; as well child neglect, abuse-related death and abandonment in these families. There is also the general population’s sexually transmitted genetic weaknesses to mental health problems, producing unknown numbers of our children born with the risk of troubled lives. T

America has elected increasingly liberal, permissive, and corrupt political representatives to power. These power mongers have traded favors, money and material rewards for their own increased political longevity and power. They have increasingly corrupted our Founding Father’s Constitutional mandate of “freedom and equality for all” to mean freedom to do virtually anything we want, no matter its effects upon America’s health and viability. The idea of equality of opportunity under the law has been transformed to an impossible equality of outcome for all, as well as a corrupt judicial bias in favor of the rich, famous and powerful.

Our evolving liberal-progressive-to radical liberal-to Marxist Revolutionary Democrat Party, with some corrupt Republicans, has opened our borders to millions of unvetted illegal immigrants from 50-plus other nations who are flooding all of our social, educational, medical, law enforcement and legal/judicial agencies with new impossibly costly dependents, and damaging criminals. This calculated political decision is bringing an unending and unmanageable flow of human problems to our society and culture, via America’s increasingly dictatorial and propagandizing Federal Government.

To achieve all of this, and much more damage to America’s traditional way of life and geopolitical power has required the destruction of our religions, traditional families, sex roles, values, traditional customs and holidays; as well as damage to our Constitution, economy, and electoral processes. This is the Marxist Revolutionary Strategy that I have often written about, as America’s Marxist Revolution continues.

See for yourself.

The following are some data reflecting America’s ongoing self-destructive crisis. It is essential that you consider this information and do your own research into this existential threat.

In order to find something that has been lost, it is important to return to where we last saw it. America, you must find the dates in our history when we last saw what we now so tragically miss. Then, vote for representatives, at all levels, that will fight-like-hell to return to the laws and social/cultural rules that guided our wonderfully successful collective behaviors back then.

Many believe that it is impossible to turn-back time. But, this is not what needs to be done. We must return to the laws and rules that governed American before the start of our great national death spiral. And we must proceed with the assumption of this possibility.

29 Staggering Mental Health Statistics for 2022

written by Sanela Puac / January 13, 2022

Maintaining a healthy psychological state is the essence of our overall well-being. Sound mental health keeps us productive at work, helps us deal with stressful situations, keeps us socially active, and simply allows us to enjoy our lives to the fullest. Still, unpredictable life circumstances can make it difficult to maintain a positive mental state, and this is exactly why mental problems are so common worldwide. At DisturbMeNot, we’ve investigated the stats from various aspects of mental health and sorted out the striking ones for you to look through.

Read on for some intriguing mental health statistics and facts.

10 Key Mental Health Statistics Worldwide

  • In America, 1 out of 5 adults suffers from a mental illness, but around 60% of them don’t receive treatment.
  • It’s not uncommon for depression to occur with another illness or medical condition.
  • 83% of bipolar disorder patients have a severe case.
  • Young people from the LGBTQ+ population are 2.5 times more likely to experience symptoms of depression or anxiety or have problems with substance abuse.
  • Mental illness statistics in the USA show that 56% of Americans don’t receive mental health treatment when they need it, often because they don’t have access to mental healthcare.
  • In 2018, police officers shot and killed 987 people in the US, around 245 of whom had serious mental health issues.
  • 14.9% of children aged 4 and under whose parents had poor mental health develop a disorder themselves.
  • Women are more likely to experience depression during their lifetimes than men.
  • It’s possible for a patient to suffer from both depression and schizophrenia.
  • Mental health disorders are more prevalent than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease.

General Mental Illness Statistics

Mental Health Statistics - Featured

In this section, we’ll look at general statistics on mental health.

1. In America, 1 out of 5 adults suffers from a mental illness, but around 60% of them don’t receive treatment.

(Mental Help)

Despite the figures, people with mental issues still seem to be reluctant to reach out for medical attention. A survey from 2015 claims only 7% of people living in developed countries believe that mental illness can be overcome. Many people don’t seek help because of the perceived stigma of mental illness, as the statistics show.

2. Anxiety disorders affect 18.1% of American adults (40 million) each year.

(Anxiety and Depression Association of America)

While these disorders can be treated, only 36.9% of those affected receive professional help. What’s more, it’s frequently the case that an anxiety disorder and depression will be diagnosed together. Half of the patients with depression are also diagnosed with anxiety, as specified throughout the anxiety statistics we discovered.

3. It’s not uncommon for depression to occur with another illness or medical condition.

(Depression and Bipolar Alliance)

People can experience depression as a result of a physical illness, or vice versa (depression can harm your physical welfare). Thus, 25% of cancer patients, one out of every three heart attack survivors, and 10%–27% of stroke sufferers experience depression, according to the statistics on depression provided by the National Institute of Mental Health.

4. 83% of bipolar disorder patients have a severe case.

(National Alliance on Mental Illness)

Bipolar disorder isn’t just about the ups and downs most people imagine when picturing the disorder. The symptoms are much more complex. Bipolar patients experience long periods of extreme manic episodes, alternating interchangeably with depressive episodes. The transition between the two states can be dramatic and sometimes life-threatening, with suicide an omnipresent concern.

5. Depression statistics from 2014 show that around 6.7% of US adults had experienced at least one major depressive episode within the previous year.

(Anxiety and Depression Association of America)

While it’s true that most people feel low at some point, it isn’t the norm to have persistent episodes of low mood, poor sleep, obscure thoughts, or lack of joy. Dealing with depression can be truly exhausting, but it’s important to bear in mind that you can’t and shouldn’t do it alone. Asking for help is a vital step in the healing process.

6. Schizophrenia statistics reveal that about 1% of the population is affected by this condition.

(Health Engine)

Although this might seem relatively rare, the figures vary significantly among different localizations (for example, in Australia, the prevalence of schizophrenia reaches 1.5%). Schizophrenia affects men more frequently than women, and it’s more common in urban areas.

Mental Health Statistics by Gender and Age

Here, we’ll be focusing on different demographics and how they are affected by mental health issues.

7. Young people from the LGBTQ+ population are 2.5 times more likely to experience symptoms of depression or anxiety or have problems with substance abuse.

(Mental Health America)

As per LGBT mental health statistics, studies show that young LGBTQ+ people may become depressed and engage in self-harm even before puberty, when they first start feeling different from their peers. Based on statements from 4,800 examinees from the UK, they are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide. These heartbreaking statistics seem to be related to the bullying they experience in response to their sexuality.

8. Anxiety is an issue for 50% of college students, most mental health statistics confirm.

(College Stats)

Almost all students experience some kind of anxiety during their studies since they have to face so many challenges: meeting new people, studying for exams, taking on part-time jobs, etc. However, sometimes anxiety becomes overwhelming, interfering with productivity in every aspect of a student’s life. At this point, it becomes mandatory to consult a professional who can offer the appropriate therapeutic approach.

9. The third most common cause of death in young people aged 15–19 is a suicide, as indicated by recent adolescent mental health statistics.

(World Health Organization)

Adolescence is a time when many emotional and social adjustments occur in our lives, making us extremely mentally vulnerable. With the majority of mental health conditions going untreated in this age group, the frequency of suicide is also alarmingly high.

10. Veterans are very likely to experience depression, anxiety, or PTSD.

(Treatment Solutions)

According to data on war veterans’ mental health, statistics show that up to a third of soldiers who’ve been to Iraq and Afghanistan are affected by mental health problems—which can often lead to drug or alcohol abuse. Experts claim that the rationale behind these problems might be that they have difficulties adjusting to their normal lives upon returning from war zones.

11. Mental health statistics indicate that women are more likely to experience depression during their lifetimes than men.

(Psychology Today)

There’s a number of possible explanations for this. First of all, women are “victims” of shifting hormone levels, which is linked to depression, especially around childbirth and menopause. Moreover, women are more prone to self-reflection, and they’re more invested in their personal relationships. As a result, they’re more easily affected by emotional turbulence.

Additional Stats on Mental Health

In this section, we’ll be looking at the statistics not yet covered in previous sections.

12. 56% of Americans don’t receive mental health treatment when they need it, often because they don’t have access to mental healthcare.

(Mental Health America)

Mental health statistics in America reveal that 56% of American adults who are struggling with mental illness aren’t medically treated for it. And this is endemic throughout the country. While Maine has the most favorable statistics, even there, the figures are still devastating (41.4% of adult residents don’t receive mental health treatment).

13. In 2018, police officers shot and killed 987 people in the US, around 245 of whom had serious mental health issues.

(Psycom)

These police and mental health statistics are shocking. We often come across news about the police shooting someone mentally ill who was violating the law. Part of the problem here is that officers are often unable to recognize mental illness. As more programs that provide mental health training for police officers are implemented, these numbers should improve.

14. Statistics on mental health from 2015 show that 14% of all hospital beds throughout European Union countries were occupied by patients undergoing psychiatric care.

(Eurostat)

This number is concerningly high. However, it should be emphasized that this particular statistic refers to both mental and behavioral disorders—for example, Alzheimer’s disease is included (although Alzheimer’s is actually classified as a neurological disease).

15. There’s a strong connection between regular exercise and mental healthstatistics show.

(Help Guide)

Exercise isn’t just about physique and muscle size—studies show that it’s also a powerful natural antidepressant, at least when it comes to mild or moderate depression. According to a study performed by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, even a daily aerobic workout for 15 minutes has the power to reduce the risk of depression by 26%.

16. 74% of adult internet users are on social media, which is 66% more people than ten years ago.

(Mental Help)

When it comes to social media use and mental health, statistics show that there’s a clear correlation between the two. Social networking provides us with a variety of ways to connect with other people, which seems like a useful invention. However, numerous studies have examined the very opposite, i.e., the harmful effects that social networks may have on our health. Namely, it’s easy to become obsessive in one’s online activities. There are also self-image problems that can occur when users begin to compare themselves to their peers.

17. Each year, 1.2 million people in the US with impaired mental health are in prisonsstatistics indicate.

(Mental Health America)

The highest rate of imprisonment has been marked in the states with the least access to mental health care and poor mental health awareness, such as Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas. Accordingly, these states also have higher incarceration rates overall. Those imprisoned who also suffer from mental health problems usually first became involved with the law through minor offenses such as disorderly conduct.

18. 2017’s mental health statistics in the US report that West Virginia has the highest rate of depression in the country.

(America’s Health Rankings)

High levels of poverty and poor physical health are probably the main contributing factors when it comes to these figures. It has also been reported that 28% of West Virginians over 18 are smokers, and 29% are physically inactive.

19. According to the prevalence of mental health issues, rates of schizophrenia are high among Australians.

(Better Health)

Schizophrenia, a notably severe mental health condition, is characterized by disturbances in reasoning and emotions, and an overall twisted perception of reality. The data suggests that this chronic condition is quite widespread in Australia (with around 150,000–200,000 patients suffering from it). However, it’s relatively rare worldwide, according to most facts about schizophrenia.

20. 14.9% of children aged 4 and under whose parents had poor mental health develop a disorder themselves.

(Mental Health)

Mental disorders are greatly impacted by how firm and healthy our personal relationships are. For example, the rates of mental disorders are higher in children (especially teenagers) whose families are dysfunctional as a result of violence, low income, or a host of other issues.

There are many myths surrounding mental health. Here, we’ll be looking at facts and also debunking myths.

21. Mental health has nothing to do with weakness.

(Mental Health)

Despite the misconceptions of those who lack accurate information on mental health disorders, there’s no correlation between mental illnesses and character flaws. Although for our mental hygiene it’s important to manage our flaws successfully, one definitely doesn’t become mentally ill as a result of laziness or weakness.

22. Children’s mental health can be endangered, too.

(Mayo Clinic)

Although children aren’t the most common sufferers of mental disorders, they do experience mental problems, and it happens more frequently than people may assume. Due to the misconception that children can’t become depressed, anxious, schizophrenic, etc., many of them are misdiagnosed, or their state is considered typical childish behavior.

23. Transgender health issues are no longer classified as mental and behavioral disorders.

(ScienceDirect & BBC News)

In May 2019, the World Health Organization announced that being transgender would no longer be classified as a mental health issue as it had been defined under ICD-10. Under ICD-11, gender incongruence, or “a marked and persistent incongruence between a person’s experienced gender and assigned sex,” is no longer classified among the mental and behavioral disorders. Hopefully, this will have a positive impact on transgender mental health statistics, which in 2018 indicated that transgender people have a four-fold increased risk of depression.

24. There actually is something you can do to prevent certain mental disorders.

(Psychology Today)

While there’s little we can do about certain life circumstances, we’re granted the ability to pay attention to whether we get enough sleep, eat healthily, and exercise regularly, which can altogether do a lot for our mental health. What also enhances our mental state is achieving a sense of purpose and participating in satisfactory social activities. Also, it’s important to educate ourselves on mental health so that we’re able to recognize any possible symptoms early and seek help.

25. It’s possible for a patient to suffer from both depression and schizophrenia, the facts and data confirm.

(Up to Date)

Symptoms of depression are frequent among patients with schizophrenia. Comorbidity of schizophrenia and depression results in a more problematic outcome (even suicide), whatever the primary diagnosis.

26. Therapy and medication aren’t ever a waste of time.

(Mental Health America)

In the same way, you would seek medical attention after you’d experienced pneumonia symptoms, you ought to seek help for mental problems. Moreover, in order to properly recover, you need to stick to the prescribed therapy—just as if you had pneumonia. Help does exist, and you can get better, just make sure you opt for the right type of therapy.

27. “Chemical imbalance in the brain” is an over-abused phrase.

(Harvard Health Publishing)

The global mental health statistics suggest that there’s more to mental illness than merely having too much or too little of certain chemicals in the brain. We’re not trying to refute the fact that chemicals are involved. However, mental disorders are much more complex. There are other factors that contribute: stress, upbringing, genetic vulnerability, other medical conditions, etc.

28. Mental health disorders are more prevalent than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease.

(Huff Post)

People commonly believe that mental illnesses are rare—and what’s more, that they most certainly occur in someone else. Unfortunately, the reality is that millions of people suffer from some mental disorder (according to estimates, 44 million Americans).

29. Mental health statistics suggest that bus drivers seem to have the highest rates of depression.

(Spring)

The research shows that as a result of their stressful jobs, bus drivers (especially those in public transportation) have elevated rates of heart disease, hypertension, or stroke—all of which can be brought on by high stress. This can be explained by the number of people bus drivers interact with on a daily basis, as well as the lack of physical activity, which is often linked to depression.

Conclusion

We hope that the mental health statistics up to 2022 we provided will help readers find the best way to help themselves or a loved one. Although mental health refers to our emotional welfare, we must be aware that our physical health can directly impact our mental state, and vice versa. Thus, while you can’t change your genetic predispositions, nor predict events that may hurt you, it’s essential that you get to know yourself, express your feelings, manage stress, connect to the people and places that bring you joy, and lead an overall healthy lifestyle.

What percentage of the population has mental health issues?
