A Debate About Immigration
February 17, 2022A very smart friend wrote the following to me (in bold). My rejoinder (in normal print) follows each of his, or her statements.
The easiest way to drastically reduce the number of illegal aliens is to make legal immigration easier.
This idea is very similar to another radical liberal idea. The easiest way to reduce illegal behavior is to make the behavior legal. This is a disastrous Idea. Immigration should be based upon this Nation’s basic needs for talent. Race should not be a factor. Considerations of talent and this Nation’s needs for particular forms of talent should be the primary consideration in our setting quotas and accepting legal immigrants. Exactly where the recruited Legal Immigrants come from, or what their skin color should not, and need not, be a consideration.
But I suspect that it isn’t the “illegal” part that is troublesome, it’s the immigrant part — we were all immigrants at one point — but now that we have arrived, we wish to deprive others of the opportunities that we enjoy.
It is plain to see that there are bigots in every race. But, the idea that the anger over illegal immigration is because, in general, Americans have animosity for legal immigrants and want to deprive them of opportunity is preposterous. I hope you will rethink this particular point. The majority of Americans are gravely concerned because they understand that no socioculture can sustain an endless flood of illegal aliens invading its borders.
America isn’t defined by borders or a population — it’s an idea. The idea that all people are endowed by the creator with inalienable rights, and that anyone can rise through the class system with the right talents and motivation.
America is an idea and a magnificent one, like no other on planet earth. But it does have borders and borders are essential to its continued existence. Other Nations may imitate us, if they choose. But, from a psychological perspective, individuals cannot retain their personal identities and function as an integrated and unique whole, without having and defending their personal boundaries–and so it is with the culture we call America.
If our native-born citizens have the talents and motivation, then they will be able to out-compete all immigrants. If the immigrants have the talent and motivation, then they deserve the American dream more than our native-born citizens do.
I am with you on this one! This has ever been so in America and that is an important (though certainly not the only) source our strength and vitality.
We must recruit, exclusively through legal immigration, the various talents this Nation’s needs, at any point in our evolution, and then provide everyone (so far as it is possible to do so) with the upward social and economic opportunities that have been the hallmark of America.
Our government’s job has always been, and must continue to be, to ensure equal opportunity among its legal citizens. We will destroy ourselves if we attempt to provide equal opportunity to anyone who illegally invades our borders. Just as we will destroy ourselves if we attempt to provide equal outcomes for all.

My Crack Pipe Distributer!
February 12, 2022I understand that these cartoons are very “tacky”. Yes, they are in bad-taste!
But, there is a damn good reason why I would “stoop so low” as the make these cartoons the centerpiece of my post.
They represent reality! And I love reality, even when the reality is very bad. Why?
Because it gives me, or any one in contact with reality, a shot at surviving it.
The reality illustrated by these images is worth many thousands of fearsome words. This reality, and others that it strongly points-to, is perfectly capable of destroying America and transforming all of our lives into hell on earth.
So, some of my readers might unfriend, or “cancel” me for this disgusting display.
But, I respectfully ask my readers to take a deep-dive into the destructive pathologies of the Biden’s as- well-as the destructive force that the Democrat Party has become to America.
I beg you to join “Fox Nation” and stream the authoritative series entitled, “Who Is Hunter Biden?”.
Do this and you will understand much more than just Hunter and his daddy!

The China Olympics
February 5, 2022My dearest wife, Sally, has written the following short note to friends. It expresses only some of what we would both like to add.

I hope that as America watches the Olympics that they realize how communistic China really is. None of their everyday citizens can watch- – not on TV nor in the Olympic Village. Our athletes cannot travel within the country and have been told by Speaker Pelosi not to say anything against their government, etc. China will put on a spectacular show and they will make sure no one sees the brutality of their communistic rule. China does not have a free press and their people have no right to express themselves freely. Their government has no respect for International law or standards. Sally

Hitler hosted the Olympics in 1936. He used this grand international stage to propagandize the world about the false superiority of the Arian Race.
Hitler started WWII three years later. The the 1936 Olympics hinted at what was to come.

A Balanced Approach to Politics
February 4, 2022It is intellectually dishonest, and a disservice to ourselves and loved ones to read, listen, or watch only Left or Right political media.
Both Republicans and Democrats are prone to “cherry pick” statistics and they “slant” videos and news reports to support their own political philosophies to the public.
It is my opinion that one does so more consistently than the other, even presenting bold-faced lies and deceptively omitting important current and historical events. However, I urge you to do your own research and formulate your own opinions using a balanced approach.
If we carefully observe both Left and Right sources of information with a judicious mind set, we are most likely to discern the truth.
This will be particularly true if they are a keen observer of the dramatic changes in our American Culture. Research into the world history of cultural decline has lead me to conclude that America’s society and culture in now in a dramatic decline.
It is essential for the informed American voter to do some very serious research into universal indicators of social and cultural decline in order to separate reality from pure propaganda.
Watch the Left-leaning main-stream media. Note, that although CNN production has just changed hands, it declares that it will continue its Leftist programming.
