“Separation of Church/State” Myth!
The pithy, “Separation of Church and State” statement, used by leftists and atheist organizations to expunge religious activities from America’s schools and other public places, is no more than a twisted example of propaganda by a competing religion.
Leftist and atheists are devout believers in secular humanism, which elevates the power of human wisdom to a “God”-like status. Secular humanism is incompatible with the world’s metaphysical God centered religions.
Historically, secular humanism’s sociopolitical manifestations are socialist and communist states. In these forms of government, citizen’s beliefs in God, compete with the “worship” of the authority of the governing state. Therefore all competing religions are suppressed in tyrannical ways; often resulting in the imprisonment or execution of many members of that population.

Now learn about the true meaning of concept of “separation of church and state”, which is often distorted and used as a weapon to bludgeon religious activities and symbols from our schools and public places. President Thomas Jefferson, the author of that phrase, absolutely did not intend it to be used to abridge the free will of individuals or groups of individuals to practice their religions in public places, schools or government buildings.
America’s Constitution speaks very clearly to the issues surrounding religion in its First Amendment, where it states:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
It does not contain the phrase “separation of church and state”.
America’s First Amendment protects citizen’s religious rights by guaranteeing that no particular religion will be promoted by the government over others. It also insures that the government will not restrict, or abridge, individual citizen’s religious practices.

In order to protect the right of students to practice their religions on school property, Congress passed the Equal Access Act of 1984. The explanation that follows is quoted from the source that follows it.
