“Funerals, Deaths, etc., are Never Fun”
The following was written by my 18 year-old Grandson, following his experience of being a pall bearer at his maternal Great Grandfather’s funeral.
I was very impressed with his perspective and believe that its content is worth consideration by everyone.
No one who lives long will be saved from these sad times. Our young man, Kelin Thomas Mawhinney, has some valuable thoughts about this and other of life’s ordeals.
The following is a direct Quote:
_________________________________________________________________________
Funerals, deaths, etc., are never fun.
The suffering that comes from those scenarios is something that nobody in their right mind would ever want to go through. However.. through the pain we experience in those scenarios, comes levels of spiritual and mental strength you cannot possibly attain from anything else in life, as long as we just look at it the right way.
So I urge everyone to never run away from fear, or possibilities of getting hurt. For experiencing certain pain can lead to replenished souls, stronger minds, stronger hearts, wisdom, and deeper feelings and understanding for those around us. I’m not saying that we aren’t allowed to be sad, mad, or worried. For those are all inevitable human emotions that we are forced to deal with from time to time.. But, I am saying that we shouldn’t let those emotions break us.
It’s amazing what kind of assets we can all attain by simply standing our ground and dealing with the reality of the life that we live.
