A Message From Crosby, Still, Nash and Young To America: “Teach Your Children”

A Message From Crosby, Still, Nash and Young To America: “Teach Your Children”

I missed the fact that I recently went over the 1000 mark on my blogs to www.culturalsurvivalskills.com  So today I am celebrating this benchmark.

I will continue to try to stimulate thinking about what it takes for our great culture to live long and well.

There are so many things that must be done to reverse our current failing trends. But, high on the list is skillfully teaching our children the essentials of the good life. First and foremost America must teach moral conduct, intellectual honesty and vigor, respect and kindness for all people, and a love of our own history and culture. We can debate this matter, but I judge that it is critical that our children be taught reverence for a power greater than their own and all of humankind.

America must also teach its children the loyalty and courage necessary to defend our way of life against all who seek to destroy us…even those of ourselves who now are so dedicated.

Fail at these things and America will certainly also fail.

I get a lump in my throat every time I hear this rendition of “Teach Your Children”.

This marvelous musical message is sent to us from the 1960’s, the very decade during which many judge that America began to fail at teaching its children the things needed for its survival.

Please enjoy and take to heart Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s message to all of us.

“Teach Your Children”.
