Diversity/Perversity

Diversity/Perversity

The following is a quote from “The Savage Nation”, By Michael Savage (pps. 135-136).

Muslims are now the largest religious minority in Germany, a status the Jews had in prewar Germany. But Ms. Merkel believes the situations are not entirely comparable. She said: ‘the Jews were Germans. They spoke the German language. But this is often not the case with the Turks’.

Merkel explains that in the 1970s, there were four million foreigners and two million of them had jobs. Today there are seven million foreigners, but the number with jobs has stagnated. Immigrants didn’t move into their labor market but into their social security system, she said.

This is the problem.

Immigrants are sucking the social security system of Germany dry as a bone. Her solution? Curtail foreigners by, for instance, speeding up deportation procedures for deportation of illegals and tightening regulations for family members to join immigrants already in Germany.

Did you hear that?

But she’s not anti-immigration. At the same time, she wants to lure highly qualified foreigners to the country. She said, ‘We want real specialists. We want to offer much better opportunities. We must be part of the war for talent in the world.’

Ms. Merkel is irritated by American calls to bring Turkey swiftly into the EU. You know why? She said, ‘Membership confers the right to work freely within the Union. Millions more Turks could pour into Germany. Imagine taking away the border between Mexico and the United States. It is just not possible in the foreseeable future.’

Ms. Merkel, why don’t you run for the president of the United States of America?

I maintain that ethnic diversity just for the sake of diversity is also a form of perversity. Ms. Merkel has made it clear that some immigrants are demonstratively more worthy of inviting into Germany than others. More than that, she wants to welcome into Germany skilled people with strong track records. That is the kind of sound policy toward immigration America must adopt if America is to remain strong.

End Quote.

The times when America can mindlessly admit immigrants because of family ties, or diversity quotas, or other reasons not related to building a stronger and more competitive nation are over. We are now in the process of self-destruction by immigration…among a plethora of other destructive acts that we ignorantly continue to inflict upon ourselves.

I will have more to say about our self-defeating immigration policies in the future.

V. Thomas Mawhinney, Ph.D. 6/29/10

P.S. In the quote above, Ms. Merkel asks us to “imagine taking away the border away between Mexico and America”. What’s to Imagine? It has already been done! Ask Arizona…Ask the Obama Administration…ask the Bush Administration.

The Last Frontier?

The Last Frontier?

Some have asked, “Where is the last frontier?”

There is no last frontier, but rather an endless succession of them. Whether it is through our expansions into outer space or our contractions into inner space, new frontiers are infinite in number.

But, there are two neglected domains of exploration which form a prerequisite sequence of gateways to these infinities.

The first gateway frontier which must be explored is ourselves, in the form of our own behavior and its determinants. This frontier will have been reached when humankind has learned and accepted the things about itself that the science of human behavior already knows. The first gateway will be traversed when we have disciplined ourselves to surrender our self-control efforts to these basic laws and principles.

The second gateway frontier is the verdant, but relatively fallow, science of Applied Cultural Analysis. It is not the study of the ways in which societies live which will yield the richest harvest of discoveries; rather, it is the analysis of the ways in which they solve problems or decline and die. Societies have found an endless variety of ways in which to live. However, they die in a finite and understandable number of ways. Humanity must learn and avoid these self-defeating actions.

In the single human organism, death proceeds in a largely known variety of orderly ways. The results of the intense study of the process of dying and the results of countless autopsies have led the way to striking increases in life-expectancy for human populations that behave accordingly. This winning methodology and it’s prized results should be replicable among the vast biological entities that we call sociocultures.

To learn, and to learn to practice, those self-management principles that forestall sociocultural death is to capture an infinity of new frontiers as well as the first real possibility of life-ever-lasting for humanity.

Joys of Fantasy

June 22, 2010

Hello! I am back after five days without power due to storm damage in my city. I missed my computer and blogging!

The following is a thought from my close friend Billy Budd.

VTM

I NOW SAY WHAT I HAVE LATENTLY KNOWN FOR MANY YEARS. THE ACQUISITION AND LIVING OF A DREAM IS NOT NEARLY AS EXCITING AS THE DREAM ALONE.

WHILE A DREAM-COME-TRUE MAY BE A PLEASURE, AN ELUSIVE SATISFACTION REQUIRING EFFORT AND SELF-DISCIPLINE TO MAINTAIN, THE THRILLS AND LASTING JOYS OF FANTASY ARE SUPERIOR.

Medical Marijuana Revisited

Medical Marijuana Revisited

My main objection is our governments’ allowing legalized marijuana for “medical use” in ways that are prompts and successive approximations to increased rates of generalized population use of marijuana for recreational purposes. When this happens there will be an increase in rates of marijuana use among children and adolescents.

I hope you will read the comments by Brice Petgen on the right side-bar of this blog for the context of my continued discussion of this topic. Brice, I am in agreement with most of what you have so well written.

Giving permission to grow one’s own pot plants to some specified number, even for legitimate medical purposes, is a prescription for disaster. This cannot be controlled and “medical marijuana” will be harvested and sold for profit, or given, to those who have no legitimate medical needs. Furthermore, it sends a message of general acceptance to your youth. This was the point of the disturbing case study that I described in my previous post on this topic.

An article in Monitor On Psychology (June 2010, Vol. 41, No 6) entitled Medicine or Menace? provided a balanced account of this medical marijuana issue.

Research indicates that approximately 10% of those using marijuana develop marijuana dependence. The “2005 National Survey on Drug Use and Health found that among people who had used heroin in the past year, 45.4 percent met the criteria for dependence. Among those who had smoked cigarettes in the past year, 35.3 percent were dependent on nicotine, and 20.4 percent of past-year cocaine users were dependent. The analysis included in Chapter 22 of ‘Psychiatry Third Edition, Volume 1 ‘(Wiley, 2008) that 9.7 percent of people who used cannabis met criteria for dependence. Among past year alcohol users, 4.9 percent met criteria for dependence.”

If medical use of marijuana proceeds in ways that stimulate increased recreational use of marijuana, the absolute number of those dependent upon this drug will, in my view, certainly increase. In my private practice, I too often see the life-ruining results in families and children caused by marijuana use. Currently about 6 percent of our youth “12 years and older have used marijuana in the last month.”

“About 4.2 million people are dependent on or abuse marijuana, almost twice the number of prescription drug abusers and three times the number of cocaine abusers, says Joseph Gfroerer, director of SAMHSA’s Division of Population Surveys.”

The principle active ingredient in Marijuana is THC, which has been FDA approved in medication form (as opposed to the smoked variety). This medication has been found effective for a variety of legitimate applications (pain, nausea, stimulating appetite, and more). Smoking the marijuana weed introduces the unnecessary risks of smoking. I have read that one marijuana cigarette is equal to 20 tobacco cigarettes in terms of its health risks.

I do not object to legitimate M.D. prescribed THC medication controlled and dispensed through pharmacies for appropriate medical applications.

I do object to the explosive growth of pot-shops selling “designer pot” in all flavors and mixtures under the fraudulent guise of “medical marijuana”. I do object to “prescribed memberships” in the “medical marijuana home growers association”. All of this will do is catalyze a national behavioral contagion of drug dependence and abuse.

All of that would be just another dumb-assed self-driven nail in our American coffin.

Muslimizing the World

Muslimizing the World

While Islamic Terrorists attack us, and the rest of the world, and our attention, military, security forces and our wealth is stressed to the max, we are blind to the stealthy, but withering, Islamic attacks upon our political and our social systems.

The following is a quote taken from Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam is Subverting America without Guns or Bombs, by Robert Spencer.

The Brotherhood (in Arabic, Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun) is an international Islamic organization that has, in the course of its tumultuous eight decades of existence, given rise to the jihad terror groups Hamas and al Qaeda. An earnest and pious Muslim named Hasan al-Banna founded the group in Egypt in 1928 in part as a response to the establishment of a secular, non-Islamic government in Turkey and the abolition of the caliphate, the office of the successor of Muhammad that stood for centuries as the symbol of Islamic unity and political power. With his Brotherhood, al-Banna wanted to revive the political aspects of Islam that had retreated with the decline of the Ottoman Empire and the advent of Western colonialism; he decried the separation of ‘the state from religion in a country which was until recently the site of the Commander of the Faithful’. His Islam was inherently and essentially political:

‘We Summon you to Islam, the teachings of Islam, the laws of Islam and the guidance of Islam, and if this smacks of “politics” in your eyes, then it is our policy…Islam does have a policy embracing the happiness of this world…We believe that Islam is an all-embracing concept which regulates every aspect of life, adjudicating on every one of its concerns and prescribing for it a solid and rigorous order.’

Al-Banna wrote in 1934 that ‘it is a duty incumbent on every Muslim to struggle towards the aim of making every people Muslim and the whole world Islamic, so that the banner of Islam can flutter over the earth and the call of the Muezzin can resound in all the corners of the world: God is Greatest [Allahu akbar]!’ He further instructed his followers, ‘Islam is faith and worship, a country and a citizenship, a religion and a state. It is spirituality and hard work. It is a Qur’an and a sword.’

End of Quotes.

America has seen nothing like it before: Islamic Terrorists rivet our attention while Stealth Jihadists sneek in for the kill.

Wake-up America!

The Muslimizing Of America-II

The Muslimizing Of America-II

The following Muslim radical’s quotes were presented in Robert Spencer’s book, Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam Is Subverting America without Guns or Bombs.

If you will read the first 1-4 Muslim radical quotes from The Muslimizing Of America-I, you will have them all.

Here are the quotes. You may check their citations in Robert Spencer’s book.

5. “I have complete faith that Islam will invade Europe and America, because Islam has logic and a mission.” (p. 10)

6. “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” (P. 10)

7.”I wouldn’t want to create the impression the I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future”. (p. 10)

8. “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.” (p. 10)

I have read that every political system contains the seeds of its own destruction. Radical Islamic “Stealth” Jihad is a highly intelligent, robust and indefatigable strategy to use the constitutional rights granted to citizens of liberal democracies to gradually subvert those governments and replace them with Islamic Sharia Law based upon the Koran.

It seems logical that America is most vulnerable to this form of take-over because our liberal democracy arguably grants the greatest number of constitutional rights to its citizens of all the liberal democracies.

In light of this diabolical strategy of Islamic Stealth Jihad, America’s greatest strength becomes its greatest weakness!

Wake-up America!

The Muslimizing Of America-I

The Muslimizing Of America

I know…it sounds bombastic; It sounds shrill; It sounds down-right paranoid. But most Americans are not paying attention to what Islam is doing globally, or even in our own country. And I am certain America is in grave danger, as never before. The dangers are many, but none are greater than The Nation of Islam that intends to sap our wealth, drain our vitality, destroy our will to prevail, and transform our political system. They will never quit and they will follow us home from the battle fields from which we retreat to terrorize us and defeat us using our own political system.

The following blogs will be a series of quotes from Robert Spencer, who has researched the Nation of Islam and its goals thoroughly. The quotes that I will give you are from Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam Is Subverting America Without Guns or Bombs.

I will not provide the references for these quotations that he presents in his book because they are clearly identified there. I urge you to read the book, review his references, and make-up your own mind on this matter.

For my part, I am convinced that the Islam’s drive to bring the world under the control of the Koran and Sharia Law (starting in the 7th century) continues to this very day.

The following are quotations of Muslim activists that were referenced and quoted by Robert Spencer.

1. “The Muslim Brotherhood ‘must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” (p. 9)

2. “We reject the UN, reject America, reject all law and order. Don’t lobby Congress or protest because we don’t recognize Congress. The only relationship you should have with America is to topple it…Eventually there will be a Muslim in the White House dictating the laws of Shria”. (p.9)

3. “Let us damn America, let us damn Israel, let us damn them and their allies until death.” (p. 9)

4. “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad. Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital…This capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas”. (p. 10)

I will provide part II quotations soon.

Black Times For Conservationists

Black Times For Conservationists

I am in favor of conservation and a clean planet and much of the rest that goes with it: But not all.

We do need to develop alternative sources of energy. Maybe as long as we have oil to fall back on we will not move forward on the alternative energy front…waiting for a crisis to develop new energy has been ever so in the history of mankind. Still, it was not sensible for government and conservation activists to prohibit oil drilling on land and in shallower waters, where accidents do not need to become catastrophes.

While the administration is looking for some “a—s to kick”, they might give a couple of swift kicks to themselves, former administrations, and to the radical conservation (green movement) for their role in driving the oil industry into impossible (given current technology) challenges in their search for oil.

What Is Missing?

June 10, 2010

What Is Missing?

I received an Email from a friend the other day. It was a forward of some photos of President Obama speaking at a recent press conference. Under his picture were those of other Presidents (Bush 1 & 2, Clinton, and Reagan).

The title of the Forward was, “What Is Missing?”

In Obama’s press conference photo (and in one of his T.V. press conferences that I observed recently) there are no American flags in the background. The background to his small stage is a drab-colored golden curtain.

In all the other President’s press conferences, the background was a blaze of red, white, and blue. There were large and beautiful American flags framing the president, to his left and to his right.

So the answer to the question, “What Is Missing”?

The American Flags were Missing.

I noted that one other thing that was also missing.

An American President was missing.

Wake-Up America!

Watch What They Say—Watch What They Do!

June 9, 2010

Watch What They Say…Watch What They Do!

We know in psychology that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. With very rare exception, Behavior, and especially patterns of behavior, trump words.

When words and behavior patterns are in confluence, and they predict nefarious outcomes,…a sociopath is often talking.

I have to wonder why President Obama has shown no leadership in taking real command, real problem solving power assertion, with the B.P. Gulf oil spill. Arguably, this is the worst accident in the history of the U.S. Obama admitts that he has not even communicated with the president of B.P.!

Rahm Emanuel once stated that one should never let a good crisis go to waste because it will alow you to get things done that you never thought were possible. Do you wonder what that statement could mean?

Here is my theory:

President Obama wanted “green energy”. He ran on a platform of alternative sources of energy. He is not in favor of harvesting oil in the U.S.

The bigger the disaster the Gulf oil spill is, the bigger will be the “stick” he can wield to beat oil companies into submission to his regulation and into retreat full retreat. While doing nothing, Obama was recently interviewed about his inaction. He said that he is looking to find who’s “ass he can kick”. He is also talking about criminal charges, before the problem has been solved. He cannot wait to attack the oil industry.

Obama’s professed political goals are best served by his inaction.

Call me paranoid if you wish..but one is not paranoid if they really are out to get you. Obama’s words and deeds are lining-up nicely with his promise to “change America”.

But, when President Obama talks about changing America, what he really wants to do is destroy America as we have known it.

That’s the way I see it. Wake-up America!
